Family Pictures - December 2009

About a week and a half ago our friend, Jenny Morphy took our 2009 family pictures. They came out great...Jenny is absolutely amazing!! It was so fun to take these pictures and so much fun to see her and her two adorable children, Emerson and Dane. Here are some of the pictures she took that day. Christmas 2009 for our little family

Christmas morning (after we finally dragged ourselves out of bed and got to Grammy and Grandpop's house), we started with Grandpop reading Luke 2...

Then it was time to open presents:

Later that morning Jon made everyone Blueberry Ricotta pancakes and bacon. It was sooo good! Lala and Jeff came over, then Gigi came over and we opened more presents.
At night we at a prime rib dinner that Jon made and watched a Christmas movie. At the end of the night we had dessert that Jon made, Pumpkin cheesecake and Apple Crisp with ice cream. They were very good! Hali'a loved it but she really enjoyed eating Lala's chocolate covered pretzels from family night from Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Debbie, and Wendie...she absolutely loved them!!!

As you can tell, she was very disappointed when she realized that she only had a little more chocolate left on her pretzel!

We had a very fun Christmas!!!

FHE

Before Christmas the Jenks family went to look at Christmas decorations in Huntington Beach. It was a very fun night that we enjoyed together. Later we went back to Grammy and Grandpop's house for some hot chocolate and cookies. We had lots of fun! What a great family night!

The random...

Before Christmas, our family made a trip to the Old Navy outlet because they have very cute baby clothes:) While we were there I was on the lookout for a scarf for me. I found a blue one that I liked but Hali'a decided she wanted it for herself....she thought it was very fun! Unfortunately we couldn't find a small baby scarf for her so after telling Hali'a's scarf tales with Grammy, Grammy had her friend at school make Hali'a a little baby scarf...it turned out very cute! When I get a picture of Hali'a with it on I'll post it!!

Our family had so much fun at Gigi's ward Christmas party. Our family drove down to Torrance along with Danny, Vicki, Jimmy, and Debbie. It was a fun night with a good program and yummy food. It was also Hali'a's first encounter with "Santa". Here are the pictures:

A couple Saturdays ago we had a garage sale and after a long morning of setting up, posting signs, and bargaining with customers, we walked into the house to find these two K.O.....

Proud Parents

Hali'a has grown so much over the past year! Here's the big update of our wonderful daughter...

Height: 26 inches
Weight: 16 pounds
Teeth: 4 of the top front teeth, 4 of the bottom front teeth, 2 of her bottom molars, and her top 2 molars coming in now.

These are the things Hali'a can say:
-Please (sounds like pssss)

-Meem (Short for "Grammy")

-Give real kisses (she leans and puckers and says mmmm)
-Dance (the head bob, the side-to-side sway, and the bouncing)
-Pick her nose
-Pick at our eye lashes
-Walk along the furniture
-Crawl (really fast)
-Eat everything we eat
-Brush her own teeth
-Brush her own hair
-Head butts then puts her hand on her head pretending that it hurts
-Point to things of interest with her index finger
-Signal that she's one year old
-Clap
-Snap
-Signal with her hands for someone to come to her
-Signal "crazy"
-Play Peek-a-boo
-Do some of the hand motions for "Twinkle, Twinkle"
-Raise her eyebrows and shape her mouth like an O (her surprised look)
-Wave
-Play the bongos
-Share anything that she has
-Put the phone to her ear and say "hi"
-do hula motions when we sing "hula-hula, hula-hula"
-Shrug her shoulders and turn up her hands to signal "I don't know"
-Shake her head "yes" and "no"
-Hugs after telling her to "hold tight"

Last Day with Papa and Nanz

My mom flew to California on Friday, November 13th to be with Hali'a on her first birthday. My dad surprised me and got here on Sunday, November 15th. It was so much fun to have them here with us for a couple of weeks! We did so many things together! I had forgotten how cool my parents are (I mean, I know they're awesome, but I forgot how awesome they really are)! Anyway, they were able to spend Hali'a's birthday with her, be at her birthday party here, and even stay for Thanksgiving! I really had a lot of things to be thankful for!!

On my parents' last day here we all went to the OC Fair for fun. Here are some cute pics of that day.

Thank you, mom and dad for flying here and spending time with us! We love and miss you so much!!
