A few more pictures of our baby girl

She's about to smile, but I missed it...

She's about to scream, but you can't hear it...

and now she's pouting.
one of these days I'll get a picture when she frowns and her bottom lip pops out

Always pretending like she can talk

she opens her mouth and only grunts come out!!

Hali'a is now over two months old!!

On Wednesday, Jan. 21st, Hali'a went in to the Pediatrician's office for her 2 month appointment which included her first set of immunization shots. She was great during the whole appointment until it was shot time. She cried so hard and held her breath for so long that she turned blue. It was so sad to see her cry. After Jon picked her up and comforted her she was okay.
Our baby girl is growing and getting bigger. She now weighs 6 pounds and 12 ounces (how heavy her mommy was when she was born).
We can tell that her eye sight is getting better as well as her listening skills. She smiles and coos a lot more and is so fun to watch. She is still very alert and loves to look at everyone and everything.
As some of you know, she loves to be 'in the party'. She loves to be around lots of people. When we try to put her down for a nap or take her away from the group she gets very fussy. She's very social. She reminds me of Grandma Bertha....Hali'a has become my 'Miss Aloha'. Now that she's been around big crowds since she was born, she has learned to sleep through anything! We took her to a Nike party and she slept right through the loud music and crowds of people. When the construction guy came over and fixed the side door of the house, Hali'a could only nap in the living room where she could hear the noise and would wake up every time I tried to take her in a room which were silent. Oh well, I think we'll have to start sleeping with a clock radio on or something.
Lastly, Hali'a is starting to sleep for longer periods of time. Usually she gets up every three hours to feed, but recently we've been having 4, 5, and 6 hours of rest before her next feeding. Of course these long rests happen only occasionally, but it's nice to get surprises like that sometimes!!
Last night before her moimoi time her daddy decided to play with her hair....
Can you tell how much she liked that?

Hali'a has never really liked lying straight on her back for long periods of time (nor does she enjoy her "tummy time"...yet), but just the other day I layed her on her play mat from Nanz and she played with the hanging octopus and whale for about 45 minutes so that was great! Thank you Nanz!

Pictures of our Hali'a-Monster

Sleeping on daddy.

We needed a picture with her daddy when she's wearing her "daddy loves me" shirt!

chilling in her chair
yes, still biting her arms during "tummy time"

i know what she's thinking, "come on mom, hurry up and take the picture"

Just waking up from her nap...she loves to sleep in a sitting position sometimes

See, here she is again, sleeping while sitting up on the couch.

so close to a shaka!

playing dress up on a Sunday morning

with her Aunt Hilarie's old baby hat

napping again on the couch... she loves to sleep in that corner

she usually sleeps with her mouth open too

her first day at the park

she liked swinging with daddy, but she didn't like the sun in her face:)

Can you guess what she's staring at??

She's staring at the picture of Jesus!!
Every time she sits near the picture she stares at it!
Here's when Jon held her up so she could see it better... she grinned so much when he did that!

Photo shoot with Dina Love

As a Christmas gift, Dina Love took family pictures and announcement pictures of Hali'a.  At the time, Hali'a didn't seem to want to work with us cause she was the fussiest she ever was since birth, but Dina still did a great job and captured some good photos of our baby girl.
Thank you so much, Dina!
(If any of you are interested in having photos done, Dina has her own blog with sample pictures.  Check them out at: dinalovephotography.blogspot.com)
