Hali'a's Homecoming...

Hali'a was discharged on Monday, November 24th.  Her exact one week since her birthday, and only 5 days after her surgery on Wednesday, Nov. 19th.  She's a little fighter!!

Hali'a, on her way home.  She doesn't seem like she knew what was going on...
(but Jon and I were very nervous as we entered onto the freeway!)

Our little rastafarian...

Her favorite things...boppy pillow and her singing giraffe!

She fell right asleep to that giraffe the moment we got home!

Some visitors who came along later...

Hali'a and Aunty Cindy

Hali'a being burped by Aunty Megan
(cause Justin won't burp her)

Halia being fed by Aunt Hilarie

Aunt Marni and Hali'a
(Marni's baby was kicking Hali'a during this, I guess she's excited to come out and play with her cousin!)

Aunt Lori and baby Hali'a

Hope, practicing for her new sister coming in December...she did a great job!!

Hope again, showing that she is ready to be a big sister again!

More recovery pictures

Hali'a is recovering very well.  Today, the doctors told Jon that she will be home probably tonight or tomorrow!  Here are more pictures...

Showing off her battle scars

The surgery took a lot out of Hali'a

She's starting to fill up her cheeks

She gets a lot of "quality daddy time"

She LOVES to eat!

On November 19th Hali'a got her pacemaker. These are some before and after photos. Her pacemaker is about the size of a quarter, 90 percent of it is the battery. I haven't figured out how to make an arch reactor her size yet so she'll have to wait to get her heart with 8 kilojoules of power that will last 100 lifetimes. As it is,  this battery will last about a year. She recovered very well from her surgery, has all the wires and tubes out of her and can eat by herself. She's a baby super hero.

Hali'a Mei-Ling Jenks

Hali'a was born November 17th at 1:23 p.m. She weighed 4 pounds and was 17 1/4 inches long.

First picture ever!!

I think she looks like a pink alien, or a bite sized old man.

She does not look very happy about dad taking scissors to her umbilical cord.

They let mom hold her for 30 seconds and then whisked her away to the NICU at CHOC.

Our first family photo ever.

Safe arrival at the Children's Hospital. She has antibiotic cream in her eyes.

Aubrey says she has Jon's eyes????

Skinny girl

After a day or so of not seeing her baby, Aubrey gets to hold her for the first time.

Today is the day!

It's 9am and I'm scheduled for my c-section at noon.  Jon's here with me now as we prep up for surgery.  We are so excited to meet our baby girl!

Last "baby bump" picture...37 weeks, 2 days!
