Cute in Purple

On Sunday, December 14th, we took Hali'a to her first sacrament meeting.  She did so well!  She was fed before we got to church so she was quite content during the meeting.  She stayed up for the whole meeting and didn't cry.  I was a proud mommy!  She looked so pretty in her purple dress too!  During the closing prayer I whispered for her to fold her arms and she did!  It was so cute, even though I know she didn't do it on purpose.

Here are some pictures of her when we came home from church...

She still loves our bed better than her own!

After Bathing

Jon decided to brush up Hali'a's hair after bathing her, and here are some funny pictures we got from that... sometimes she's so silly!

Her Ace Ventura look:
Hali'a didn't enjoy the sponge baths, but now that she can be immersed in the water we learned that she's quite a water girl!  She loves being in the water (when it's warm).

Meeting Uncle Waka and Uncle Phillip

Uncle Waka and Uncle Phillip drove down from Vegas for the weekend just to visit with the family and meet baby Hali'a.  It was fun to hangout with them, and nice of them to come and meet Hali'a!

Meeting her Nanz and Aunty Abi

My mom and sister arrived here from Hawaii on Thursday, December 11th.  Here are some pictures of their first meeting...

Three Weeks and Two Days

It's been a while since I last posted pictures so I thought I'd post more recent ones...
Hali'a has been doing very well lately.  Her surgery scar has healed up quite nicely and she is growing so quickly!  Yesterday at her Pediatrician's appointment, we learned that she is now 4 pounds and 14 ounces, so she's almost 5 pounds!  Her looks are changing and she's eating a lot more than when she was first born.  She makes a lot of little noises, especially grunt sounds.  She makes noise when she eats, sleeps, poops, and when she's awake and alert!
Sleeping at night seems to be a problem for her recently, but her cute, funny faces and sweet spirit makes it so worth it!

I love to stare at her while she's asleep, she just looks so peaceful!

A Thanksgiving visit from Aunty Liza

Jon's favorite: Hali'a's Zoolander "blue steel" look...

A card from her nanz and papa...she kept trying to eat it

Hali'a realized that she likes our bed better than her own... she's already trying to be a "big girl"

Her first sponge bath... she couldn't be immersed until her scar was completely healed

Kiwi...

When she first got home, Hali'a didn't have much fat, we tried to see what she would look like if she was a little chubbier...

Hali'a LOVES to stretch her long arms and legs!

I caught her sucking her thumb when I came back from making her bottle, apparently I was too slow...
